BOS home QTH log

December 2004

December 2nd I switched on for half an hour and relatively fine signals noted from western
USA/Canada. (I do not have any wire in that direction!) Did no listening Dec. 1st.

Joined the PAX46 crew late on December 2 and could catch a few signals before a small
proton storm reached us and made listening meaningless. Small recovery only for the next
morning so I decided to return home after two of planned 4 days. No listenimng at home
Dec. 5-6. December 5th a different disturbance boosted signals from the south east of the USA
and a number of rare ones were heard in Parkalompolo! I should have stayed there...

A number of short tests of reception only before I went to Parkalompolo on december 18th.
The Parka X-mas visit turned out to be relatively rewarding. None of the best expeditions but
not too bad. Compare PAX47 log.
