BOS Info page

November 2002

First half of the month of no use.  Then a little better and improving. But just as I took a
week off to get a few reports the protones invaded earth and all that was heard was a few
seconds of Brazilian/La Plata stations... A few weak signals again at the end of the month.
My prairie antenna at home is out of order. Sounds like a broken connection in the
impedance transformer. Almost no signal at all. Will not be fixed this year.

  1 -  16.11   No listening. Too much work.  But probably no signals worth listening...  Proton
                      disturbance etc.  A few weak NF/NY stations one sunrise. I have been away
                       from home most mornings so I may have missed some opening.  But probably not...
         17.11   A 15 minute check long after sunrise gave a couple of ID:s. But only weak signals. 
                      Active aurora with signals jumping up and down and from east to west.
18 -  20.11    Probably a few NA:s but did only check for a few minutes on the 20th.. A cassette that I
                       left on 1280 had a 45 minute recording of NA:s with WNAM there most of the period.
21 -  23.11    No listening.
24 -  30.11    PAX24 expedition. One of my worst expeditions ever. Nothing reportable for me.

1040  17.11  0935  WHO Des Moines IA  with a few fine ID:s.   BOS
1130  17.11  0928  KFAN Minneapolis MN  clear ID and then into ESPN.  BOS
1280  20.11  0700  WNAM Neenah WI  w/ several ID:s over a 45 minute tape session.  BOS
1530  17.11  0932  WSAI Cincinnati OH  was this one and not Iceland. Clear ID and then NOS.
                                 Another NA took over a few seconds later. Could not identify that one.   BOS
